Marjolaine

The story of Marjolaine is a story about a family's passion for good craftsmanship, exclusive materials and respect for traditions. In 1934, Jeanne Marjolaine opened her shop in the heart of the charming Lyon suburb, Villeurbanne, where she sold clothes in pure wool, baby clothes and other things in natural and good materials. In the meantime, the supply was not particularly large, and Jeanne's husband therefore decided to improve his skills in sewing. It turned out that the family not only had a flair for good craftsmanship, but also an aesthetic sense that is certainly worthy of French fashion. Before long they had designed the most beautiful collection of lingerie and nightwear.

The Marjolaine brand is built on the family's great love for high-quality natural materials and respect for good craftsmanship, which means that all styles are made from hand-cut silk in classic and timeless cuts, as well as exclusive details such as beautiful hand-applied Calais lace on several styles from the brand. Each piece of lingerie is produced based on the family's motto 'Douceur, fluidité et dentelle' (sweetness, movement and lace) and especially the work with the exclusive French lace is an art form and a large part of the company's expertise.



Now, several decades later, the family business has become world-renowned for its savoir faire, beautiful designs and the circle for even the smallest details. And although it is almost 100 years since the brand was born, it is still a family business, with Jeanne's grandson at the helm. Some of the brand's most loved and iconic styles are found in the beautiful Soie Unie series, which is made of pure silk.
